Halloween/Thanksgiving 2012

This Halloween Isaac was so excited to go trick or treating and get candy! He had a hard time wanting to dress up though. I found a cute cowboy costume and put it on him a couple times before the big day so he like it by that time. He loved wearing the hat! We went trick or treating around the mall here in Redding with his friend Griffin, then we went to a party that a family in our ward had. We then went around that neighborhood for more candy! (Mostly for mom!) He started out shy and not even looking at the people giving out the candy then by the end he was running off to the next house without us yelling "trick treat!"

We went to a pumpkin patch this year too! Isaac loved riding the trains and seeing the animals. We tried to ride the ponies but he wasn't havin it! Even after riding a big horse in St. George! Maybe next year!

For Thanksgiving this year the Walker's all drove to St. George, UT to celebrate Grandma Horner's 80th birthday! Sawyer, Isaac and I were able to ride in the Corbridge motorhome and relax. We left on Tuesday night and Dave, Sawyer, and Jake took turns driving while we slept! Isaac woke up a lot but it was way bumpy and super noisy but worth the walking around and stretching out. We staying in a house with Robby, Cami and their 3 boys and grandma and grandpa. The house was really nice with a great backyard where the kids could play and ride scooters. We went hiking, swimming at the neighborhood indoor pool, and the girls (and sawyer and robby lol) went to see the Twilight movie one night. We had a good time and were glad we got to go. Grandma Horner's party was a success too! Good food, good company and good memories!

Our FHE Turkeys

Isaac is 2 years old!

For Isaac's birthday party this year we went to Sacramento and celebrated with his cousin Emmett that is just a couple weeks later and played with cousins and Grandma and Grandpa Walker! We had a pinata for the 2 year olds and one for the older kids. He enjoyed hitting it and seeing the candy come out! He loves cars and trucks lately so I made a race car cake. Daddy brought him home a special present that is a lot of work for Mom, but he loves it so much! I have to help him steer the 4-wheeler and he gets going fast so I look pretty funny running along side him!

Cabin July 2012

The annual St. George cabin trip was a good one this year. Isaac was old enough to play outside and follow his older cousins around. We also rode horses this year! That was a first for Sawyer and I. We always have fun on the 4-wheelers and at the lake too. Mostly we just like to be with eachother and eat and play games!
The summers in Redding are super hot! I should be used to it from Texas but Idaho was in between that and I got a little spoiled there with the summers. To beat the heat we went swimming a few times at the community pool that Isaac really liked.

Other activities we did this summer was, a century bike ride...just Sawyer not me! Him and his brother Robby did the 100 miles while we met them at the finish line! The girls, Shannon, Cami and I went on a ride the day before to show that we think we can ride haha!

Sawyer's work does a convention every 2 years and this year was especially special because it was 60 years or something. Guess where it was? THE BAHAMAS! From what I hear it was very expensive the vacation there but he had a great time with a few meetings and mostly fun. He went jet skiing on the ocean, deep sea fishing, and there was a water park there with lots of pools. While he was having a good time and getting a tan, Isaac and I weren't going to sit at home, we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Tolman, Aunt Morgan and her fam and the newest the Texas, Uncle Rock and his fam. It was fun to see all those cousins and get some one on one time! We went fishing at G and G's pond, went to an Astros Game, and played lots with cousins. Felicity was not a big fan of Isaac, and Isaac loved to torment Clara! He would just hug her a little too tight! Good trips all in all!

South Lake Tahoe Getaway

I'm catching up the blog from a year ago so there will be lots of posts!

Sawyer and I live close to a lot of beautiful places, one that I haven't been to is South Lake Tahoe. Its a small tourist town that reminds me of Jackson Hole, WY. We shopped and ate at the casino buffet, of course that was Sawyer's choice, saw a movie, and got our first professional massages! (So worth the money!). We also went on a gondola ride to the very top of the mountain (that was my favorite part). All the while Isaac was having a good time with the Corbridge cousins and barely asked for us! Thanks Erin for watching him for a few days!

Thanksgiving/Christmas

Sawyer loves fried turkey now thanks to my dad so we have a deep fryer and he volunteered to make it for the ward party and for his family.

Here he is with pride and joy.

We were so lucky and blessed to go to Houston for Christmas to be with the Tolman side! It was a lot of fun with ups and downs. When you have 13 kids under the age of 11 there is bound to be sicknesses passed around and that is definately what happened! Almost every kid got sick with fevers, throw-up or just a runny nose. And most of the adults including me. Despite the sickness we had a fun time and it was fun to see everyone all together. Our camera was dead on Christmas day so I'll have to get pictures from my family. We had a ward Christmas party and the whole time Santa was there Isaac would not stop looking and pointing and saying "tanta"! So we took him over there and he freaked! We also had a little family Christmas before we left where Sawyer and I opened our stockings from eachother and Isaac opened a few gifts from Santa.
